Houbara bustards



In North Africa houbara birds are in danger of extinction because of the continuous hunting. The Abu Dhabi Government has planed a project , which to reproduce houbara birds in 2006. The freedom of houbara birds increased from 12,000 to 15,000 pear season in Morocco between August 2009 to March last year. In breeding season, workers impregnate females. In Morocco they keep chicks in cages and cover them carefully, when it grow up they free them in hunting places. The author described that " Birds that are destined to be used for breeding are trained to be familiar with Humans..."(Todorova, V.2011). The result of keeping chicks in cages that increased the average of surviving percentage to 65%. Scientists monitor birds movements and production. The programmer finally succeeded and the results showed, by increasing nests 10 times.
